We are not a school or a college in the traditional sense of the word! There are no exams or difficult assessments! We provide a variety of courses for people who use services, care for someone who does, or work in services. Our courses are designed to be enjoyable, friendly and informal.
Aims
The Recovery College aims to support people to deal with their experience of mental health challenges in a positive way. Or wide range of recovery focused educational courses and resources enable individuals to recognise their hopes, talents and attributes to move forward to achieving the things they want in life.
The Recovery College is friendly and welcoming and available to everyone whether you have lived experience, or are a friend, family member, loved one of colleague of someone with such experience. Our courses and activities are co-produced and co-delivered wherever possible by people with lived experience of mental health challenges.
Entry requirements
There are no formal "entry requirements" but people do need to meet with one of the Recovery College tutors for a one-to-one before booking on a course. People do not need to commit to attending a set number of course - people can book for as many or as few as is right for them. When your courses are agreed you will be allocated a personal tutor who will be there to support you through college and on into the future.
