National Association of Therapeutic Parents (NATP)

Therapeutic Parenting is a highly nurturing parenting approach, with empathy at its core We use firm but fair boundaries and routines to aid the development of new neural pathways in the brain so children may gain trust in adults. And so their lower brain(survival brain) may connect with their higher brain (prefrontal cortex/thinking brain) so they can link cause and effect.

Our mission is to support parents through the first 1,000 days, to have the best possible experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Derriford Hospital

The Neonatal Service includes the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Transitional Care Ward (TCW). The NICU provides tertiary / specialist medical intensive care treatment for extremely preterm and sick newborn babies.
