We have over 25 years' experience in supporting people of all ages with a diverse range of needs and specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities. The support we offer ranges from just a few hours a week to bespoke 24/7 packages to suit individual needs.

The DOVE Project specialises in providing individually tailored supported living packages and believes in supporting people to live in the homes and communities of their choosing.

We also offer modernised day opportunities through our innovative "Inclusion and Training" programmes, personalised residential care, respite, and community-enabling support.

We ensure that the people we support are fully involved in all aspects of the design, planning, and delivery of their support, and we believe that by being outcome-focused, we can assist people to lead fulfilling, rewarding lives and increase levels of independence. We are led by the people we support and are flexible and adaptable in our approach.

Rockville Short Breaks

Rockville Short Break is a registered respite facility situated in Plymstock, Plymouth, and provides 1:1 respite to people with learning, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

Rockville supports adults aged 18 to 65 with all aspects of care, including epilepsy, NG feeding, PEG feeding, nebulizer, and oxygen support. Rockville is designed to provide individuals with a safe space to relax, have fun, and receive the continuity of care that they receive in their own home. Rockville gives families and carers the opportunity to take a break from caring and to relax.

The facility offers bespoke respite packages suited to each individual's needs. Rockville and its motivated staff team provide support with the involvement and input of individuals, their families, and advocates. The dedicated and fully trained staff team focuses on the promotion of individual's rights through effective care planning and non-restrictive risk assessment.

We are committed to offering a modern respite facility that is safe, non-restrictive, and adapted to meet individual physical and emotional needs. Rockville offers 2 double bedrooms with bespoke equipment, two specially equipped bathrooms, a lounge area, a kitchen, and a laundry room. Rockville has a large and accessible garden, designed to provide a stimulating and safe environment.

Rockville offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities to fit people's needs and interests. We encourage people using the facility to participate and to try new activities and experiences.

Supported Living

Our supported living teams operating in Devon, Plymouth, and Cornwall have enabled many people with a diverse range of needs to successfully move from large residential homes and other institutionalised settings into their own homes. We believe in giving people the opportunity to live within their own home and community of their choosing, either alone or sharing with others. If required, we are able to assist in identifying housemates with similar needs and interests to live together. Our fully trained and motivated staff teams provide support and assistance with all aspects of daily living to meet the individual requirements of each person.

We can assist people in sourcing suitable accommodation and provide support that meets individual needs and requirements. This can include supporting people with physical disabilities to live in the community within adapted accommodation designed to increase levels of independence through the use of specialist equipment.

Residential Care

The Bungalow is a registered residential home situated in Crownhill, Plymouth, and supports six adults with learning, physical, and sensory disabilities.

The home offers bespoke care packages suited to each individual that focus on ability rather than disability. The home and its motivated staff team provide care packages that involve input from individuals, their families, and advocates. The dedicated and fully trained staff team focuses on the promotion of choice and autonomy through effective care planning to support each individual to live a full and active life without restrictive risk assessment and by way of positive and effective decision-making.

The DOVE Project is committed to offering a modern residential home that is safe, non-restrictive, and adapted to meet the physical and emotional needs of the people who live there. The home offers six double bedrooms with bespoke equipment, 3 of which have ensuite bathrooms, 2 with sitting rooms, a large modern kitchen, a laundry room, and an attached office that does not encroach on the privacy of the individual's home. The bungalow has a large and accessible garden, designed to provide a stimulating and safe environment for the people we support.

We offer a wide variety of activities to ensure that each person has the opportunity to develop new interests and stay active and healthy. This includes accessing a range of social opportunities, utilising local facilities, and involving each person to be fully involved both around the home and in the local community.

The DOVE Project can set up similar small homes for people requiring residential care and support in a more intimate setting. We believe in creating a personalised and individually tailored environment to meet the specific needs of each individual.

Community Enabling

The DOVE Project offers a variety of enabling and respite opportunities in Devon, Plymouth, and Cornwall.

This may include 1-1 support or "shared support" for people wishing to participate in activities with friends and peers. We provide support to access a variety of community-based activities, such as attending sporting events, visiting local places of interest, and attending group-based activities or training.

Enabling support can also include assistance with managing finances, attending appointments, and with other individual needs. Our Exeter team provides specialist enabling support for people living with dementia who may require support at home or with accessing the community.

We offer a variety of respite support options, including overnight stays or short breaks, at our training house in Plymouth. If requested, we can provide "respite" support within the family home and support people with short breaks and holidays.

The DOVE Project has built excellent local networks and ensures that the people we support have the opportunity to be fully involved and included within their communities.

Inclusion and Training

The DOVE Project offers a range of modernised-day opportunities through our innovative "Inclusion and Training" programmes. Operating in Devon and Plymouth, we offer group-based support through our hubs and training houses, with a focus on maintaining and developing new skills, enhancing inclusion, and increasing levels of independence.

Evolve - Plymouth

Evolve offers specialised transition support for young people with learning disabilities and autism from the age of 16 through a group-based programme of activities.  We can provide support alongside college placements or upon completion of education. We also offer independent living training and overnight stays at our skills development house in Plymouth.  This can be accessed by people who are looking to move into a supported living environment in the future, or as a more person-focused form of "respite.".
