The philosophy of our care and support services emphasises common sense, practical needs, person development, and re-enablement.

We aim to provide good-quality care and support services for people aged 18 and upwards that promote a way of life for service users that permits them to enjoy, to the greatest possible extent, their rights as individual human beings in the community.

The team at KSL provides services to people with mild to moderate learning disabilities and associated physical and mental health-related conditions; clients with a forensic history; substance misuse; and challenging behaviour.

The staff support is structured to meet individual requirements. Community participation and involvement are actively encouraged through person-centred planning and positive risk assessment to meet individual goals and aspirations that keep the person safe and happy.

We provide services to service users who need support with life skills training, assistance with benefits and bills, accessing professional help and liaison with other agencies, and personal care.

Our 24-hour accommodation has staff on-site all day, with sleep-in staff available during the night. This safe environment encourages and promotes people to gain confidence in their lives and promotes decision-making and choice through a person-centred approach that is individualised and depends on the specific needs of each person.

Kingdom Supported Living (KSL) is a semi-detached house located in a residential area on a major bus route with easy access to the city centre, which is within one mile. The property consists of five bedrooms, with two of the bedrooms having an en-suite facility, and is over two stories with a basement.  It has a communal lounge, a large, fully equipped kitchen/diner, and a rear enclosed patio area. The rear garden is well tended and is laid out with a paved area, a smoking shelter, and a raised gravel bed. There is access to a wireless internet connection, and each room is equipped with a television..

The house is situated close to the local amenities, including GP's, dentists, the post office, churches, the Plymouth Life Centre, the Plymouth Argyle football ground, and a range of social and leisure activities.
