We provide person-centred services based on consultation with the service user, those acting on their behalf, and the Local Authority assessment of individual needs.
This is achieved by listening to people who use the service and/or those acting on their behalf and the staff who support them.
Through informed assessment and effective support planning, assessments are made balancing choice, decisions, risks, and needs.
What is domiciliary care?
Domiciliary care refers to the provision of personal and practical support to individuals in their own homes, allowing them to maintain independence and continue living in familiar surroundings. This type of care is tailored to the individual's needs and can include:
- Personal care: Assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Household tasks: Help with cooking, cleaning, shopping, and other domestic duties.
- Medication management: Support with taking prescribed medications at the correct times.
- Companionship: Providing social interaction to reduce feelings of isolation.
