Our experienced team understands the importance of developing and nurturing children to ensure that they all feel valued and supported so that they can aim high and achieve.  We are all incredibly proud of the experiences that we offer the children, both within the classroom and beyond.

Being a smaller, one-form-entry primary school, it means all staff are able to get to know the children and develop strong relationships with them.  The relationships that we develop with our parents and the wider community are equally important to us; developing these links and working together helps to support our children to be successful.

Our Early Birds Breakfast Club

Early Birds is our breakfast club that is open to all children from nursery through sixth grade.  Early Birds offers a happy, safe, and welcoming environment to start your child's school day in the best way possible.  It is led by experienced school staff, who will be familiar to the children as they work in school throughout the day.

There are healthy choices for breakfast cereal and toast, as well as yoghurt and fruit.  Children can also choose from a range of hot and cold drinks.  The club is set up to encourage the children to eat a healthy breakfast, which gives them a great start to their day.

After they have eaten, children go to the games table's, where they can play a range of games or join in with art and craft-type activities.  As well as this, the children can also take part in a range of physical activities outside in the playground.  Adults are also on hand to help with homework, reading, and spelling.

Our Wonderful Woodies After-School Club

Wonderful Woodies is our after-school club that is run by our highly trained staff, who are teaching assistants during the day across the school.  It provides parents with excellent value and high-quality childcare between 3.15 p.m. and 5.45 p.m. every day of the week.

There is an exciting programme of activities in place on different days of the week, which include arts and crafts, computing, board games and puzzles, and, weather permitting, activities in the playground.  At different times of the year, there are special sessions linked to celebrations and festivals such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.

During the session, your child will have a light snack such as sandwiches, beans on toast, cheese, crackers, etc., along with some healthy options such as fruit and vegetable sticks and yoghurt.  There are also a range of drinks, both hot and cold, available.
