We are a large primary school full of active learners, with a family ethos where the children are at the heart of everything we do.

We are challenged and inspired to become responsible global citizens of the future, and we take every opportunity to be the best that we can be.

We believe that every child can do amazing things, and it is our job to help make this potential a reality. It is also our duty to ensure that Manadon Vale provides an outstanding education so that every child has the freedom to choose their own future. However, you are the most important person in your child's life, so it is really important that we work together to support each other in making sure your child gets the best education possible. To achieve this, teamwork, communication, and high expectations are essential.

We are proud to be a founding member of the Connect Academy Trust, which is a group of five schools from the same area of Plymouth who want to work together to make the most of the different skills and resources we have, sharing the good things we do so that everyone benefits. The other founding schools are Eggbuckland Vale Primary, Leigham Primary, Thornbury Primary, and Widey Court Primary. Our aim is to work together, support each other, and provide the best possible opportunities for the wider community, as we believe that we are stronger together.

Awards

All Plymouth schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and are supported by the LA to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs and disabilities, make the best possible progress in school.

All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with SEND being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.

At Manadon Vale Primary School, we embrace the fact that every child is different, and, therefore, the educational needs of every child are different; this is certainly the case for children with SEND.

Plymouth uses an orange 'Local Offer icon' to show services that define themselves as suitable for children and young people with SEND. These are part of Plymouth's SEND Local Offer. We recommend that you contact the service provider to make sure the service is suitable for your child or young person.
