We want to ensure young people who have complex needs receive coordinated and high quality services which promote their social inclusion and which enable them and their families as far as possible to live ordinary lives.

In providing a varying level of overnight breaks the purpose is to provide the parents with an opportunity to "recharge their batteries" and support the quality of family life.

For young people who receive the short breaks we want the experience to be a positive one in which they have fun, develop their sense of independence and have opportunity to stay away from home with their friends if possible.
