Welcome to our beautifully refurbished house in its stunning waterfront location. Come and see how we give the best of modern personalised care to our residents in our purpose-built facilities. Overseen by the Sisters of Nazareth, this house welcomes all seniors from religious and non-religious backgrounds.

We are also proud to offer specialised palliative care. We have successfully achieved accreditation of the 'St Luke's six steps and end of life care programme' for our commitment to promoting best practice and continuously monitoring and improving practice to ensure high-quality end-of-life care.

This stunning home is set on the waterfront with extensive views over Plymouth Sound. The home was fully refurbished in 2012 and offers light, modern, relaxing, and accessible accommodation.

All bed rooms have en-suite shower rooms. Situated over 3 floors, each with its own communal sitting and dining rooms and quiet lounges, it ensures the feeling of a small, homely environment.

The care home is situated within our care village, which is approached from the centre of Plymouth. Built on a peninsular of granite rock, ahead of you lies Firestone Bay, with commanding views available from many of the rooms of Drakes Island and the English Channel beyond.

Life In Our Home

Here at Nazareth House Plymouth, we work hard to identify and meet the unique needs and wishes of each of our residents. We offer a number of activities catered to people's hobbies and past times, such as art, craft work, board games, films, and quizzes. We have a popular crossword club that meets several times a week.

We have an active resident committee that meets bimonthly to discuss services provided within the home and offer suggestions and plans for the future.

We have our own chapel, which offers a serene environment for contemplation and also offers mass on most days.

We have involvement in the community; residents assist with the local Boys Brigade and the local Church of England community. Residents are members of the local tennis and bowling club. We have several residents who are published authors as well as artists, and we encourage these past times to be continued and celebrated. We also have a music club, which was set up and is managed by a number of our residents.

We are able to offer our residents virtual reality tours around the world and different experiences that they may not be able to achieve physically.

We employ an Activities Coordinator who can arrange leisure trips away from the house, such as shopping trips and visits to the theatre and cinema.
