Ardent Residential Care Home

We provide round-the-clock support for adults and elderly people with dementia and other needs that might make domiciliary care inadequate. This includes day care as well as short respite care following hospital discharge.

We are located in a lovely and substantial turn-of-the-century, three-story building, excellently positioned in a quiet Plymouth suburb. A variety of shops and amenities are all within easy access.

We are literally located within walking distance of Plymouth train station and are therefore well suited for families in Exeter, Newton Abbot, Totnes, and surrounding areas.

We offer 16 single and 2 double bedrooms, with 5 of the rooms en suite. Rooms on the upper floors are accessible with a stair lift.

Our aim is to create a living space for our residents that feels very much like home. We consider each person's life story, interests, and passions, as well as their choices, in providing a person-centred standard of care. We work towards ensuring that our residents maintain as much independence as possible and can continue to lead a fulfilling life. The home is guided by the ethos of compassion, dignity, and respect.

Our well-staffed team at Ardent will ensure that your loved one is provided with a choice of things that will enhance their everyday living and ensure a great sense of wellbeing.

Accommodation

We provide accommodation in 15 single rooms and 5 double rooms. Five of our rooms are ensuite. Rooms on the upper floors are accessible with a stair lift.

We have two communal lounges with 50-inch TVs, one of which serves as a dining area.

There are gardens at the front and rear of the property.

The home has a laundry service that is staffed full-time.

Meals are home-made by our in-house full-time cook, and the diverse nutritional needs of our residents are well catered for.

We have a new state-of-the art digital call bleep system that ensures that your loved one is able to access help at any time in a prompt and efficient manner.

All rooms are connected to a digital TV, and smart TVs are provided for our clients to access online content.

Our clients are able to access smart tablets for video calls to family over the home's WiFi system.

We encourage and support up-to-date training of our staff to ensure that they have the values, knowledge, and skills required for compassionate and client-centred care of our residents.
