What to do if you require dental treatment

Patients requiring emergency treatment (un-registered patients or those registered with our service) can contact us on 01752 434664 and outside of these hours, call the local helpline 03330 063300 or email livewell.plymouthcommunitydentistry@nhs.net

Treatment is for patients who are in pain and cannot access dental treatment; dental care for children; dental care for patients with special needs; treatment under general anaesthesia or sedation; treatment of phobic patients; and treatment of wheelchair users.

There is a waiting list for an initial consultation; however, if a person is in pain, they can call for an appointment and will be seen as soon as possible

Standard NHS charges apply unless evidence of exemption is provided.

Dental care for children and young people

If your child has tooth pain and you do not have a regular dentist in the area or are not under a current course of dental treatment, then our specialist children's dental team could help.

Our dentists, therapists, dental hygienists, and dental nurses offer a range of specialist dental services in the Southwest for children, young people, and adults. We provide comprehensive dental care for those with special needs, and our Dental Access Centre is accessible to wheelchair users. Services include minor oral surgery, support for people with dental phobias, paediatric dental extractions, and special care for people who undergo general anaesthesia.
