Quiet at the Aquarium

The National Marine Aquarium on the Barbican holds special events for those with sensory needs at least twice a year and tends to be 2 hours long. Allows families and individuals to enjoy the exhibits without too much noise or distraction.

Trauma Informed Plymouth Network

The TIPN is a collaborative, community network that welcomes all individuals who have experienced childhood, later life adversity, and/or trauma. Anyone affected by adversity or trauma, including those with autism/ADHD, can join the TIPN as a member and/or access support, resources, and attend events, all of which aim to help make Plymouth a trauma-informed city.

The Council's Portage Team provides an early intervention home learning service for pre-school aged children with additional needs and/or disabilities and their families.

Premier Care

Premier Care (Plymouth) Ltd provides support and care services for individuals who have learning disabilities, individuals who have physical disabilities, older people with learning disabilities, people with sensory loss and individuals who may have related mental health problems and complex needs.

Psychology Associates

At Psychology Associates we help people of all ages to overcome psychological difficulties or mental health problems. Our specialist services include Mental Health Assessments and Mental Capacity Assessments to identify treatment plans and methods of interventions such as psychological therapies to support adults with their difficulties.

Remploy is the country's largest provider of supported employment for people with a disability or health condition. Remploy operates as a recruitment agency, assisting people in applying for and gaining employment, where they will then support you in that employment for 1 year.

Scope's helpline provides free, independent and impartial advice and support on issues that matter to disabled people and their families.

Step Up Speech and Language

Step Up Speech and Language helps children who may have attention and listening problems, unclear speech, difficulty understanding others or talking in full sentences, as well as issues making and maintaining friendships. We assess and support children when there are concerns regarding stammering, selective mutism, and autism.

The Donkey Sanctuary is a UK based charity dedicated to providing riding therapy with donkeys to children with special needs and disabilities. The aims of the Donkey Assisted Therapy is to bring enjoyment, pleasure, build confidence and allows young people to learn new skills.
