Youth Clubs and Youth Centres in Plymouth

A youth centre, sometimes called a youth club, is a place where young people can meet and participate in a variety of activities.

Staff work with young people in Plymouth who are aged between 11 and 19 (up to 25 years old where there is a specific additional need or disability).

A wide range of learning opportunities are used to help young people feel safe, develop as individuals, take part, and contribute as valued members of our community.

Trained youth workers are always there to support and guide you. They'll help you plan events, apply for jobs, or simply navigate the ups and downs of growing up.

Community Connections Youth Team

Community Connections Youth Team works with young people in Plymouth who are aged between 11 and 19 (up to 25 years old where there is a specific additional need or disability). We make use of a wide range of learning opportunities that allow young people to feel safe, develop as individuals, take part, and contribute as valued members of our community. As well as delivering key programmes and activities, we support external and partnership projects to promote the same values and skills for young people.

Our staff supports the young people of Plymouth in all aspects of their lives. These include:

• Youth workers who support generic and specialised work within areas and targeted teams.
• Personal advisors who support young people over the age of 18 who are leaving care.
• Workers from different professions (including social workers, youth offending workers, police and probation officers, mental health practitioners, and education welfare officers) who work together to support young people under the age of 18 who have either been accused of committing or have committed a crime. This team also works with young people to prevent them from offending.
