St. Boniface's Catholic College is a Roman Catholic academy for boys and sixth-form girls, under the direction and trusteeship of the Catholic Diocese of Plymouth Multi-Academy Trust (CAST).

It is a five-form entry college with students between the ages of 11 and 19. Although primarily a boys' college, girls are admitted to the sixth-form.

The College Mission Statement centres on the education of the whole young person, not just the intellect. It is based on the ideal of the community working together for the benefit of all the members, young and old alike, bringing out the potential of every person.

At St Boniface's Catholic College we value the diversity of all learners in terms of their academic and pastoral needs. We are aware that some learners may have additional difficulties with their learning or with their social skills when they first attend the College - or even may face challenges at different times of their journey through the College.

Our policy is to support all learners from the point at which they first need support - in order that they can reach their full potential, from the least to the most able. We work closely in partnership with parents, the students, support staff and a broad range of external services in order to break down the barriers into achievable goals of confidence, achievement, independence and mutual cooperation.

We provide targeted, bespoke support to meet the needs of the students. This may take the form of in class support, small group work, additional literacy and numeracy lessons, support from Learning Mentors and Learning Support Assistants and intensive one to one support.

Plymouth uses an orange 'Local Offer icon' to show services that define themselves as suitable for children and young people with SEND. These are part of Plymouth's SEND Local Offer. We recommend that you contact the service provider to make sure the service is suitable for your child or young person.
