Chaddlewood is a two-form entry school set on extensive grounds in Plympton, on the outskirts of Plymouth. Our buildings are surrounded by a forest school area, a beautiful pond, large playing and athletic fields, and exciting adventure playground equipment.
We believe that Chaddlewood is and will continue to be a special place to learn and work. We are a happy, friendly, and welcoming community. We take real pleasure in our successes, both in achievement and attainment, and work hard to support children who may make slower progress or get stuck' in their learning.
The key aim of the school is to produce confident children who are literate and numerate, enjoy a breadth of opportunities to develop a sense of creativity, and have the skills necessary to support their future learning. It is therefore the development of the 'whole child' that we are interested in.

All children will benefit from high quality teaching that has been differentiated to suit their needs. Where necessary, they will take part in small group or individual interventions targeted to meet and support their area of need.
We draw on expertise from outside agencies to inform our support programmes to ensure children make the best progress they are capable of.
We also ensure children's emotional and social development is secured through strong pastoral systems within our school. Teachers, teaching assistants and our pastoral support adviser all work together to promote the emotional well being of all our pupils.
Our school environment, where possible, is adapted to meet children's additional needs. Children with SEN are given every opportunity to take part in the wider life of the school.
Plymouth uses an orange 'Local Offer icon' to show services that define themselves as suitable for children and young people with SEND. These are part of Plymouth's SEND Local Offer. We recommend that you contact the service provider to make sure the service is suitable for your child or young person.
