We have a large integrated room for children, which caters to different age groups and individual developmental needs. We also have a small room that is used for small group time and quiet activities.

We have a large play area outside, featuring a mud kitchen, climbing frames, a playhouse, a tunnel, and much more for the children to explore.

All 3 and 4-year-olds are eligible to attend a registered preschool setting using government funding for 15 hours per week during term time, from the beginning of the term following their 3rd birthday until they are of school age. We accept Me2 funding for 2-year-olds and 30-hour funding where eligible.

Awards

At The Cabin we support every child as an individual, according their own developmental needs. We have a designated SENDCo at each setting and the majority of other staff have also received training in additional needs and disabilities.

We use pictures and signs to support communication.

We liaise with other professional agencies who often visit the children in the setting to support individuals learning.

Our Ofsted report states -

Staff are superb at encouraging inclusion and teaching children about individual differences in society. For example, staff support children to develop their communication skills using signs and symbols, and engage children in an exceptional range of community and cultural celebrations.
