SEND Teams In Council Panel

The SEND teams shown below all help support Plymouth's Local Offer for young people between 0 and 5 years old. 

0-25 Statutory Assessment Team

The Council's 0-25 SEND Statutory Assessment Team coordinates the statutory support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Children's Disability Team

The Council's Children's Disability Team provide support for disabled children and young people, their families and carers. We work with families to understand their needs and plan how to provide support that will make a positive difference.

Communication Interaction Team

The Council's Communication Interaction Team works with children and young people who have speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).

Plymouth Advisory Team for Sensory Support (PATSS)

The Council's Plymouth Advisory Team for Sensory Support Team helps children and young people with a sensory impairment by supporting and enabling independent learning and the development of appropriate life skills.

Plymouth Early Help and SEND Advice Line

The Council has an Early Help and SEND advice Line through which you can book a conversation with a Family Support Worker to talk about any worries or questions you may have.

Plymouth Early Years Inclusion Service

The Council's Early Year Inclusion Service supports pre-school children with additional needs and disabilities.

Plymouth Educational Psychology Service

The Council's Educational Psychologists have expertise in psychological theory and research that helps to understand how children and young people develop, learn, think, feel, and behave.

Plymouth Safeguarding Children Partnership

The Plymouth Safeguarding Children Partnership is made up of a number of partner agencies as described within the Children Act 2004 and the Apprenticeship, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009.

SEND Children's Occupational Therapy Service

The Council's SEND Children's Occupational Therapy Service provides support and services to children and young people (up to age 18) and their families, with permanent, substantial and/or complex physical disabilities.

SEND Strategic Advice and Support (SEND SAS)

The Council's SEND Strategic Advice and Support (SEND SAS) offers high quality support and advice to early years settings, schools and 14-25 providers in order to develop their practice and provision for pupils with SEND.
