Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) consultation
A new consultation has been launched to ask people for their thoughts on disability adaptation services, specifically focusing on the Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG).
Disabled Facilities Grants are important for funding essential home modifications that enable disabled people to live safely and independently. These grants can cover a wide range of adaptations, including:
- Ramps and level access solutions
- Bathroom adaptations (e.g., walk-in showers, grab rails)
- Kitchen modifications (e.g., accessible countertops, adapted sinks)
- Stairlifts and through-floor lifts
Whether you have received a DFG, are considering applying, or simply have comments to share, we encourage you to take part in this consultation.
Take part in the consultation and have your say
The closing date is Friday, 14 March.
If you feel you could benefit from home adaptations, please email the Community Connections Team at communityconnections@plymouth.gov.uk
