Our friendly ZAP (Zone Accommodation Project) team based in Plymouth City Centre is available throughout the week, offering one-off and ongoing support.
We can give you information and advice about housing and homelessness to help support you in your situation. We can talk with you about your options and help you find accommodation either with family or friends, in supported housing, or in the private rental sector.
Contact us to arrange a time to talk with someone about your situation, and we can also offer ongoing one-to-one support if you are at risk of homelessness or want support settling into or maintaining a tenancy.
Together with your worker, you will be able to look at your housing and support needs and, together, draw up a support plan.
Whatever your situation, we always suggest that you contact The Zone as soon as possible so we can explore your housing options with you.
Without the support from the services at The Zone who stepped in to support me in such a consistent way, I wouldn't be where I am now...I'm saving for a mortgage but am currently financially and physically stable in a flat with a garden and my dog.
A Young person supported by ZAP
- 16 and 17 year old: Support and information are needed for young people aged 16 and 17 who are experiencing issues with their housing in Plymouth and surrounding areas.
- 18 to 24 year old: Support and information for 18- to 24-year-olds who are experiencing issues with their housing in Plymouth and surrounding areas.
- Rough sleeping: Help is available in Plymouth if you are sleeping rough.

If you are not homeless but are needing advice/advocacy, please send us an email and include a contact number we can call you back on or call to speak to someone on 01752 206626.

The Plymouth Alliance
The Zone is part of 'The Plymouth Alliance', a partnership of local charities and Plymouth City Council, which provides support for people who have needs in relation to homelessness and may also have needs around substance misuse, mental health, offending, and the risk of exploitation.
The aim of the alliance is to enable people to be supported flexibly, receiving the right care at the right time and in the right place. To help us do this, we share information within the Plymouth Alliance. You can find out more by taking a look at our information-sharing leaflet. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with your worker, who will be happy to help.
