The original home was opened in 1992 and is now comprised of the main house and a new extension, both of which have two stories. There is a separate bungalow. The home is situated in a rural area between Plympton and Plymstock but is within walking distance of local shops. Central Plymouth is accessible by public transport, and the home has its own vehicles.
All of the bedrooms are for single occupancy and are located on each floor. Half of the bedrooms have en-suite toilets with showers or baths. There are also communal showers and toilets throughout the home.
The main house has a large lounge, a kitchen, and a conservatory/games room. There is also another kitchen/dining room and lounge at the other end of the house. The bungalow accommodates two people and has a lounge and kitchen/dining room.
