Quiet at the Aquarium

The National Marine Aquarium on the Barbican holds special events for those with sensory needs at least twice a year and tends to be 2 hours long. Allows families and individuals to enjoy the exhibits without too much noise or distraction.

Trauma Informed Plymouth Network

The TIPN is a collaborative, community network that welcomes all individuals who have experienced childhood, later life adversity, and/or trauma. Anyone affected by adversity or trauma, including those with autism/ADHD, can join the TIPN as a member and/or access support, resources, and attend events, all of which aim to help make Plymouth a trauma-informed city.

Peace and Quiet 1:1 hairdressing sessions

Peace and Quiet offers a specialist hairdressing service for people with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and additional needs who would not ordinarily feel able to access a mainstream salon.

Pioneering Independence is a supported living organisation specialising in providing bespoke packages of support to people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and complex needs who wish to live in the community in their own home.

Plymouth Music Zone is a community music charity that believes passionately in the power of music to reach and bring people together.

Plymouth Pisces Swimming Club

Plymouth Pisces aims to provide a safe and friendly swimming club for disabled people (all ages, all disabilities), their families and/or carers. They cater for all abilities from non-swimmers/learners or those whose disabilities have reduced their confidence, to competitive swimmers who can use the faster swimming lanes. Sessions take place at Plymouth Life Centre.

Portage

The Council's Portage Team provides an early intervention home learning service for pre-school aged children with additional needs and/or disabilities and their families.

Premier Care

Premier Care (Plymouth) Ltd provides support and care services for individuals who have learning disabilities, individuals who have physical disabilities, older people with learning disabilities, people with sensory loss and individuals who may have related mental health problems and complex needs.

Psychology Associates

At Psychology Associates we help people of all ages to overcome psychological difficulties or mental health problems. Our specialist services include Mental Health Assessments and Mental Capacity Assessments to identify treatment plans and methods of interventions such as psychological therapies to support adults with their difficulties.

Remploy

Remploy is the country's largest provider of supported employment for people with a disability or health condition. Remploy operates as a recruitment agency, assisting people in applying for and gaining employment, where they will then support you in that employment for 1 year.

Scope Helpline

Scope's helpline provides free, independent and impartial advice and support on issues that matter to disabled people and their families.
