ARC provides a positive learning environment where the students gain confidence for independent living, life and social skills, functional skills, vocational skills, and work skills.
The centre offers a professional kitchen, specialist workshops, as well as a range of media and I.T. equipment.
The teachers and staff at ARC offer a highly individualised programme suited to personal learning styles that helps to develop and effectively improve planning and organisation.
The young people at ARC begin to develop the skills, competencies, and responsibilities that help each individual in their transition from school to the world of work.
- ARC Education and Training Centre provides bespoke and practical training for ASC learners and others with complex and high-level needs.
- ARC Wellbeing Residential Service provides specialist support for young people who are in the process of transitioning to adulthood and independent living.
ARC Education and Training Centre
We support the needs and help to develop the skills and interests of our learners so they can realise their full potential for learning and life.
We are experienced in the care and changing needs of young people with ASC and other complex needs, and we are highly supportive of encouraging confidence in learning essential life skills.
Familiarisation sessions
Familiarisation sessions are the best way for young people to fully explore all that we offer and to help them decide if ARC is the best place for them.
Sessions are free, and learners are under no obligation to make a final choice until they are ready.
Residential and Specialist Support Services
Frederick House is ideally suited to a single occupant, for respite or for a first short-term tenancy, with support to prepare the young person for independent living and the responsibility of looking after a rented property before moving on to the private rental sector.
We work with the NHS and social services to offer solutions for living. Please contact us for more information.
You can book a taster session to cater to a wide variety of interests and skills for individuals or small groups. Whether you are a parent or a school looking for skills training or enrichment, you can call us and book a morning or afternoon session for a specialist class or taster in cookery, crafts, woodwork, digital media, photography, and much more.
