Borrow Don't Buy (BDB) is like a regular library, but with things instead of books. We have over 600 items available to borrow in our inventory, over 2000 members, and have completed over 4000 loans to date,
Doing some DIY and need a drill? Having movie night and want a projector for the big screen experience? Fancy a spot of camping and need equipment? These are just a few things available to borrow from us.
Become a Borrower now to start saving money, space in your home and reducing your environmental impact.
And don't forget to check out our digital inclusion project Getting Everyone Online, we take donations of unwanted tech and refurbish it to give to those experiencing digital exclusion.
Four steps to borrowing
- Become a Borrower
You can join Borrow Don't Buy by filling in our online form. It is free to sign up, and then you can choose the right membership for you. Join - Browse and reserve items
Our inventory is available to view online and once you are signed up and have chosen your membership you can reserve items. Browse - Collect your items
Come and collect from THINQTANQ, Fairbairn House, Higher Ln, PL1 2AN at your chosen time slot - press the BDB buzzer when you arrive. Find us - Return your items
After using the items, simply return them on or before their due date (during our opening hours) clean and ready for the next borrower. Borrower code
