Carers Allowance for Young Carers 16+
Carers Allowance is now available for carers aged 16+ who care for more than 35 hours a week and are receipt of certain benefits.
Kooth Parent and Carer Information Sessions
Are you a parent and carer who wants to learn more about Kooth and how we provide free support for young people's mental health and wellbeing?
If you are a professional who thinks this may benefit parents or carers you work with we would really like your help to get this support for them. We want parents and carers to feel confident in our service and the support we provide for young people in Plymouth and Devon.
We will be delivering FREE information sessions in August where we will discuss:
- Top Tips on talking to young people about mental health
- How each feature of the website works
- How young people benefit from the service
- How our online service and peer forums work
- How we safeguard and manage risk
Tickets can be purchased at no cost through our Eventbrite page
Carers UK Survey
State of Caring is the most comprehensive survey into the experiences of caring. We want to understand what caring has looked like in 2021, carers' priorities for the future and what support you need to help recover from the pandemic. We will use the evidence to continue to campaign for carers to get better support.
The survey will take about 30 minutes to complete. The survey will close on 13 September and we will be releasing a research report in November.
Take part in the Carers UK Survey
We appreciate each and every person who takes the time to complete the survey and together you create the biggest survey into the experiences of unpaid carers.
Youth Access - 'The Case Beyond COVID'
Youth Access have produced briefings to support the wider youth sector, commissioners and policymakers to anticipate and respond to the scale of socio-economic and mental health need among younger generations over the coming year and beyond.
