CSW is contracted by the local authorities of Devon County Council, Cornwall Council, Plymouth City Council, Torbay Council, and Somerset County Council to assist them in meeting their statutory duties under the Education and Skills Act 2008. These duties relate to the provision of services to encourage, enable, or assist young people in effectively participating in education or training. To do this, we are required to undertake tracking activities and provide information to the DfE and the local authority with respect to personal information, individual characteristics, and the current activities of young people aged 13-19.

We have over 25 years of experience delivering services in a range of educational settings, including schools, sixth-form colleges, and special schools across the South West and beyond.

We are large enough that we bring the benefits of an organisation to the forefront of the career industry, but not so large that we don't understand the local landscape. Our staff live and work within the communities that they support, and we develop services that are fully responsive to local needs while also being responsive to national and regional strategies and changes in government policy.

Services for Young People

Planning for the future can feel a bit overwhelming, especially when there are so many things to consider. We hope that these pages will answer many of your questions and point you towards a range of useful information. 

If you're aged 16-19, there are a wide variety of learning and work options that you can think about. Don't forget, if you're under 18, you are required to continue in either full-time or part-time learning at least until your 18th birthday. 

CSW offers a range of services to help guide you through your choices, provide information, and offer support, from a quick chat to more intensive, long-lasting support.

Employers and adults

We manage and deliver a broad range of programmes in partnership with commissioners and multi-tiered supply chains. We build, develop, and refine partnerships to enable more effective outcomes and to share learning to improve services. We believe that partnership work is essential to achieving positive outcomes and fully meeting the needs of those our programmes support, as well as providing essential evidence to commissioners on what works to inform future commissioning.
