Fostering is giving a child a stable and caring home when their parents are unable to look after them for some reason. Our approved foster carers provide a safe place and the support that these children and young people need to thrive, whatever situation they have come from.

What is fostering?

Fostering is different from raising your own children, so it's important to understand the fostering process and what a foster placement can be like. There are also many different kinds of foster care to help you decide what option is best for you. And although your fostering journey will be hugely rewarding, it won't always be easy, which is why we'll give you all the support you need to settle into this new way of life and make it successful. Why choose us?

Care isn't the same everywhere. If you are going to foster a child, you don't do it by half measures or take any risks. The future of that young person is too important.

Set up by a former foster carer and former social worker over 20 years ago, Foster Care Associates has grown to become the largest independent fostering agency in the UK. We continue to be owned by our founders and inspired by their vision to invest in and nurture high standards in foster care. Choose to foster with us, and you'll receive an extensive local support network, excellent training, 24/7 advice, and a rewarding new career.

Higher-quality care lasts a lifetime. That's why we care without compromise.
